Roswell D. Hooten, Zebulon, Ga. Private Hooten entered the service July 4th, 1918, at Camp Greenleaf, Georgia, and was attached to Base Hospital No. 98. Later transferred to Camp Hancock, Augusta, Georgia, then to Camp Merritt, New Jersey. While at Camp Merritt, contracted influenza, which resulted in his death at Base Hospital there, October 17th, 1918. Roswell D. Hooten was a grandson of Rev.
