Pike County, Journal Zebulon, GA., Tuesday, May 28, 1889 Libel For Divorce Rosana Driver vs Solomon Driver Suit for Divorce It being made to appear to the court that the defendant, Solomon Driver, is not a citizen of this state, it is ordered that service be perfected of said suit of divorce on defendant of publication of this order in the Pike County Journal, a newspaper published in Pike County once a month for four months before the next term of court, and it is further ordered that the defendant be and appear at the next term 1889 of this court, then and there to answer, stand by and abide the judgment of the court, April 1, 1889. Pike County, May 21, 4m, printers fee $6.00 Note: Solomon Driver is listed as a mulatto on the 1870 census and Rosana is listed as black. Solomon may be a descendant of slaves once belonging to Giles Driver, as he is listed as living next to Giles. Solomon was 35 years old in 1870.
