In response to Margaret's request, here is my connection to the Allen and Hester families. I am a 4th Great Grandson of Josiah Allen (abt. 1769-abt. 1816) by way of his son, Robert A. "Major" Allen (1792-1876) and wife Frances Hester (of whom I currently know nothing). Was Frances Hester possibly a sister to Wyatt Hester? Anyway, my GG Grandmother was Robert and Frances Allen's daughter, Mary Ann Allen (1824-1865) who was married to William Riley Jones (1807-1869), by way of their daughter, Martha Frances Jones (1850-1927) and her husband, William Taylor Harris (1847-1900). I would appreciate more correspondence on these folks.
