Hi List, My gggrandfather was Obediah "Obie" Gibson SMITH b Jan 28, 1849 and d 1873 in Zebulon, GA. He married Georgia SULLIVAN (1851-1936) of Zebulon. I am having a very difficult time with my SMITH line...for obvious reasons...anyway, I'm convinced...but, have yet to prove his connection to the GIBSON family. His father's name was Lawrence SMITH (1833-1878), his mother's name is yet unknown to me. The name "Obie" is also in the GIBSON family per the Pike County History.
