Rhonda- I not aware of any connection. I know his parents are Lafayette Jordan Green and Martha Reeves and his grandparents were Judge Hartford Green(e) and Nancy Ellis. The 'King' may come from the Reeves side, as Martha's father was Sidney King Reeves. DMH

Well that brings me back again to Hartford Green & Nancy Ellis. And I still don't know how Hartford ties into the family of Burwell Green, but I just "know" that he does. But at least you've given me a wife and father-in-law for Lafayette J as well as 3 brothers. And with a name like Sidney King Reeves, I'd humbly lean to saying that King was likely his mother's maiden name. That may be where our link comes in.
