    3. The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, Jan. 17, 1896 Two good friends of The Journal are Dr. and Mrs. Beckham of this place. They have each passed the age of three score years and ten and are now whitened by the frost of many winters. Mrs. Beckham had the misfortune to break her arm a year ago and this member has never recovered, which renders her practically helpless. Yet her good nature and pleasant smiles have never forsaken her. She is never happier than with a lot of her grand children about her, and in spirit she enters into their childish amusements with hearty good will. We tender our good old friends our best wished for the year that has now opened before us. (Transcribed 11/17/02 Lynn Cunningham) Note: At Methodist Church Cemetery, Zebulon, Georgia: Beckham, Dr. Joseph C., b. 11 July 1820, d. 21 Oct 1908 Beckham, Mary A.C., b. 7 May 1825, d. 22 Nov. 1914
