    3. Would this have been Lafayette J. Green, son of Hartford Green & Nancy Ellis? I have this family in my file because I think they are somehow related to Daniel Jackson Green & his parents, Burwell Green & Elizabeth (Slayton) Slayden. Just haven't figured out exactly how. R. Green Died Wednesday Night At Home Mrs. Green Is a Pioneer Citizen Of Zebulon. Funeral Services Held Friday Afternoon. Mrs. Martha Reeves Greene, age 83, died at the home of her son, Mr. H. L. Green, h(e)re, Wednesday night, after a short illness. Mrs. Green who was one of Zebulon's oldest and best loved residents was the daughter of Sidney K. Reeves, a pioneer citizen. Her husband, the late Dr. L. J. Green, was among the first to volunteer for the Confederate cause from Pike county and after the war was a leading practicing physician in this section for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Green were held from the family residence Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Re. G. H. Bailey, of the Methodist church and Rev. E. B. Brooks of the Baptist church. Burial took place in East View Cemetery. Surviving her are four sons, H. L. Green, with whom she made her home at Zebulon; L. J. Green, of Dunwoody, Ga.; S. R. Green and R. K. Green of Atlanta and a sister, Mrs. E.F. Dupree, of Zebulon.
