    1. Re: [GAPIKE] More Than One John Green in Pike Co, GA
    2. Lisa, I need to correct one misstatement in my previous e-mail. Hartford Green was the 2nd son of John Green/Nancy Daniel. The 1st born of John Green/Nancy Daniel was Mountain Hill Green. Yes, Hartford, Richard, and Union were brothers. Hartford and Richard are both buried in Pike Co., GA. Union was killed during the Civil War and I am not sure where he is buried, but likely some where in VA. With regard to the middle name confusion, the tombstone record for Richard Green's/Parthenia Kirk's son reads John Hutson Green, June 13, 1856, Oct 9, 1928. I have found census records notoriously incorrect; however, John Hutson Green may have had a 2nd middle name not shown on his tombstone. We are confident that the father of our John Green was Isaac Greene, b. abt 1755. Many consider our Isaac to be the same as the Isaac Green s/o Jeremiah Green/Joanna Hunt, originally of Maryland. However, a record compiled by one of our Isaac's g-grandchildren claims he was born in Scotland. I looked at the listing of the children of Lewis Green to see if your Thomas had a brother named Isaac, but I can find no such given name in descendants of your line. If you have a record of an Isaac born about 1750 I would really like to look at that information. Arthur

I do not have anything before Mountain Hill Sr.? Is this the same Mountain Hill you are referencing? Jim McKinley
