    1. [GAPIKE] Brides Index
    2. Ok folks--its be a lo-o-o-ong haul, but it is finally done. I hope you will all find it worth waiting for. I just need to thank you all for being so incredibly patient. As I have said before remember to stretch your imaginations for spelling. For example "Sherman" is often spelled "Shannon". As always, if you can extend your patience, I can double check some of those names with the license books when I go to the courthouse. I am going to try to cajol them into letting me look at the original poor school book. If they will be reasonable that will be my next project--but don't hold your breath. Hopefully if I carry them a copy of this index alphabetized by groom they will look more kindly on me. I also need to thank those of you who sent money to finance this project. without you it would have never gotten done. I did copy the entire book with the lists up to 1950, so to those of you who were so generous if you need lookups on those later marriages just let me know. The reason I did not put those online right away is that there are no dates --only which book they are in. When I can bear looking at it again we will decide if we want to put that information online as well. It won't be a lot of help except to let you know someone did indeed get married in this county. Stephanie (tired and cross-eyed)
