Hi, I have been told that in the Pike County area there was once a plantation named Tara that was owned by a ?Philip Fitzgerald. I was told that this property was sold to Fitzgerald by a Henry McLeroy/McElroy. Questions: 1) Is this property located in the Pike County area, and if so, can you tell me the location so that I might visit it? 2) Can anyone confirm this version of events? 3) Is this the property that inspired or contributed to that plantation now immortalized in Margaret Mitchell's book?
