    3. Hello everyone, I need some advice, from all you genealogy experts! I have an ancestor, O.H.R. Carden, or sometimes he's listed as Owen N.K. Carden. I know he was born in 1820 in Ga., and I know he bought land from an Andrew Jackson Carden in Pike Co. Ga., in 1839. I know he married Nancy McLeod in 1843 in Pike Co. Ga., and I know they were listed in the 1850 census. I know they left Pike Co. Ga., and after 1854, when Nancy's, we believe father, Alexander McLeod died, who was in Pike Co. Ga. also. I know he died in 1862 in the Civil War, serving with Hillard's Legion. What I do not know, is who his parents were, and I've been looking for going on three years, and I have yet to find any info on who they were. I have a copy of his marriage license, and I have a copy of Alexander McLeod's will, and I have copies of the records of the land transactions between he and Andrew Jackson Carden, and I have some info from the Alabama archives on his service during the Civil War. Can anyone advice, me where to look, to try and determine who is parents were? I've posted to all the message boards, that I can think of, and I haven't had any luck on finding who his parents were. Also, another question, if I went to the Court House in Zebulon, and gave them the info on the land deeds, could they tell me where his land was located, or if I posted that info on here, is there anyone that could tell me? Thanks for any advice or help that anyone can give me, I'm desperate!! Becky Carden, rec@hiwaay.net
