Janelle, You asked about a pension! I tried that, and inquired about a pension when I was trying to find info on his service during the Civil War. The Alabama Archives, said, they had no record of a pension request being filed for him. He died around Atlanta, so I don't know whether one would have been filed for Ga., but his wife Nancy, was in Al. until 1880, that we know of.
