    3. I am a Pyron descendant and have several instances of the Pyrons and Allens being related. William Pyron, son of Charles Pyron who died in Jackson Co., Ga. about 1823, was born on Feb. 10, 1770 in Va. and died in Greene Co., Ga. on Sept. 29, 1853. William's first wife was Martha Allen who was born July 28, 1780 and died on Oct. 8, 1815. Martha was the daughter of Drury Allen and Elizabeth Yarbrough. Children of William and Martha were: Susanna Pyron, Drury Pyron, Lewis Pyron, Charles Allen Pyron, Josiah Hicks Pyron, Martha Pyron, Elizabeth Pyron, and Nancy Pyron. After the death of Martha Allen Pyron, William married Mrs. Elizabeth Browning Allen, widow of Josiah Allen, his brother-in-law. William and Elizabeth had one child: Emily Pyron. Martha Pyron, the sixth child of William Pyron and Martha Allen, was born abt. 1814 and married her cousin Stephen Allen, son of Stokes Allen and Susan Fouche. Martha and Stephen were married in Greene Co., Ga. on June 14, 1830. William Pyron's brother was James Pyron who was born May 25, 1776 and died on Dec. 11, 1820. James was married to Lucy Johnson, and they lived in Jackson Co., Ga. James and Lucy's daughter Nancy Pyron married her first cousin Charles Allen Pyron, son of William Pyron and Martha Allen. Another daughter Rachel Pyron married Drury Pyron in Jackson Co. in Dec. of 1822. A third daughter of James and Lucy named Martha Pyron married Pleasant J. Allen in Greene Co., Ga. on June 11, 1832. Pleasant was the son of Josiah Allen and Elizabeth Browning. Elizabeth Browning Allen later became the wife of Martha Pyron's uncle William Pyron. 3. Wow! Lanny, this has more intermarriages between first cousins than I have ever run across. Thanks for the breakdown, although it makes it more difficult to track which groups of kids belong to which parents--so many Pyron grandkids! 3. After reading this, I can better see how tightly woven the Pyron and Allen families were. Then add in the Harris, Bevil and Cauthen families.... Family reunions/get togethers must have been really interesting.
