The Pike County Journal Zebulon, Pike Co., Ga., Friday, August 17, 1894 Mrs. Sallie Halman of Molena, died at her mothers, Mrs. Amanda Williams of this place last Wednesday, after an illness of only a few days, and only a few hours after her death her little babe which was about three days old also died and was placed in the coffin with its mother. Their remains were laid to rest Thursday evening in the family cemetery at White Plains. Mrs. Halman leaves a husband and little girl to mourn her loss, who have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of bereavement. (Transcribed 10/31/02 Lynn Cunningham)
