The Pike County Journal Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia: October 28, 1892 The Stolen Wagon On the 19th inst. a wagon was stolen from Boyds warehouse belonging to Pate Horton, a farmer who lives in Pike county and in its place an old rickety affair was left. Mr. Horton, of course, was very much incensed at this and took every possible means to discover who had made the mistake. After considerable trouble he found out that a party living between Zebulon and Meansville had made the exchange and he went at once to see him and asked that the mistake be rectified. This the party said he would do, and was profuse in his expressions of regret that it should have happened and promised that the wagon should be returned yesterday but Mr. Horton, who spent the day in the city failed to see his vehicle and will have to make the second trip for it.
