    3. The Pike County Journal Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia: August 19, 1892 In Memoriam When blooming youth is snatched away By death resistless hand, Our hearts the mournful Tribute pay, Which pity must demand. The death angel visited the home of Rev. W.H. Graham on last Thursday night and bore the spirit of John Graham, his son, from its earthly habitation. Many hearts were saddened by this death, as his kind and amiable disposition had won for him many friends, and too, he was so young – only 18 summers had passed over his head. The bereaved family of the deceased have the sympathy of the entire community. May his family not look upon him as dead, but to think of him as being in eternal bliss, preparing a grand reception for them later on; to think of him as being in fadeless chaplets, witherless gardens, and setless suns. Yesterday he was with you, tomorrow you will be with him. The yesterday is but a moment, the tomorrow is a long eternity. May we all make preparations to meet him. “Beyond yon blue walkin [?] Where all is peace and love.” - A Friend - Meansville, Aug. 15, ‘92 (Transcribed 10/24/02 Lynn Cunningham)
