Linda, My name is Becky Carden. I see the Virginia Ellen Williamson mentioned. I believe this is Doris Greer's line. Have you been in touch with her? I connect with the McLeod's. I descend from Alexander McLeod, who was married to a Margaret, maybe McSwain. We have he was born in 1770 in Scotland, migrated to N.C., and finally ended up Pike Co. Ga., where he died about 1854. I then descend from his daughter Nancy, born abt. 1826. She was married to my GGGrandfather, O.H.R. or Owen N.K. Carden, born about 1820 in Ga. They were in married in Pike Co. Ga. in 1843. They eventually migrated to Al. sometime after 1854, and before 1860, and were in Tallapoosa Co. Owen died during the Civil War, and Nancy, eventually ended up in Chambers Co. Al. I'm still searching for the elusive parents of my O.H.R. As I've stated before, everyone feels he connects somehow, to a John Carden, or maybe David Carden, somehow. This group were also in Pike Co. Ga. I also have Lovick Pierce Jordan, born 1807 in S.C., and was in Pike Co. Ga. in 1850. Then, I also have Woodall's, and Verdin's, and Malone's, that were in Pike Co. Ga.
