    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hd.2ADE/863.1 Message Board Post: The oldest daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Sims was named Vianna Sims b 8 Feb 1808 in Oglethorpe Co. Martin and Elizabeth Sims moved to Pike County GA about 1822 when Martin received land through a lottery drawing. Vianna Sims married James M. Hamrick on Jan 16, 1834 in Pike Co, GA. I believe they were listed in the membership rolls for the original Flat Rock Baptist Church in Hollonville. Martin Sims donated the original 2 acres of land including a creek for baptizing in 1827. The name was called "The Church at Flat Rock" in the church minutes. It was later named "Shoal Creek Baptist Church" in the 1830's. These minutes were transcribed from the original photo copies by Bill Russell and should be found on the Pike Co. GA website. I have not traced the Hamricks forward but I think they moved a county or two west of Pike by the 1850 census. I'm a direct descendant of Martin and Elizabeth Sims. I've also seen the same variations in spelling that you have listed above. Hope this helps!
