Hello Georgia Researchers -- HELP! I recently obtained copies of the 1851 tax digest for the 1st-3rd Districts of Coweta Co., GA. I am trying to decipher what the heading say across the top. Between the old time writing and the way the pages were copied, so that some of the info is cut off, I can't figure out what they say. This is as best as I can figure out, they actually run left > right across the top of the page: (1) 1st District / Name of tax payer (2) W Pole (3) Slaves (4) Lands of Qualities (4a) 1 (4b) 2 (4c) 3 (5) Pine (6) No. (7) D's V Section (8) County (9) Bg's V Sulkier (10) Town Lotts (11) No (12) Value (13) Money or Int. If anyone out there has experience with this I sure look forward to hearing back from you! Valerie Johnson Freeman Tustin, California "Genealogy is like playing hide and seek: they hide . . . I seek!!!" P.S. Whenever I do get them transcribed, I will be submitting them to the GA Gen Web Archives :-)
