I have recently found out, my Alexander McLeod, is buried in the Midway Baptist church, that was in Pike Co. at one time, I believe its in another county now. I also found out some more info on the McLeod's and Cauthens! Some of the McLeod's married Cauthens. My source, says the Cauthens lived on one side of Liberty Hill Road, and the McLeod's lived on the other. There was a stagecoach, that ran up and down that road, and the McLeod's owned a livery stable for the horses for the stagecoach. The McLeod house burned down, but the Cauthen house is still standing. I've heard the Cauthen house had a secret passage, and it led to the Underground Railroad, to help the slaves escape. Does anyone else know anything about this? Becky Carden
