Brown of said State and County being in feeble health of body, but of sound disposing mind and knowing that man is born to die; I have thought proper this day to make this my last will and testament, making the following distribution of what property the Lord has blessed me with in the way and manner following. Brown one Negro girl by the name of Harriet but if he should die during his minority she with her increase if any shall fall to the four living heirs of my son Stephen J. Brown).
