    3. I am searching for the grave of John Adams Knight, b Sept 1854, and d May 1909. The family lived near Molina, and his mother Frances Curtis Knight was a long time member of Molina Methodist Church. She died in 1895 and is buried in the Curtis Family cemetery near Concord. In the 1900 census, John was living in Molina. I've found no record of his death or burial, other than the date listed in the family Bible. Brenda Knight Smith

    3. Valerie, Concord Methodist Church was once called Salem Methodist Church. Apparently the church was originally built near where the Fossett Cemetery is today, on land given to the church by a man named Peter Early Fossett. When it was moved to downtown Concord the name was changed to Concord Methodist. I don't think Concord Methodist Church has a cemetery, but Magnolia Cemetery is nearby. Concord Baptist has a small cemetery. Both churches face each other on the same street. John T. Beckham is buried at Fossett Cemetery, but he died in 1920 (b. 19 Mar 1842, d. 30 Nov 1920) His wife Laura died 10 days before he did. She is listed in the Georgia Death index, but he isn't. I believe that "James" Beckham was the brother who died in 1905. This is the obit for Julia Beckham Strickland who also died in 1905. Note the mention of her brother being buried the day before her death. Pike County Times-Journal Zebulon, Ga., Friday, June 23, 1905 Death of Mrs Julia Strickland Mrs. Julia Strickland, widow of Henry H. Strickland, died at her home in Concord last Friday after a serious illness of six weeks. She was 68 years old and had lived in the community in which she died all her life. She was Miss Julia Beckham before her marriage, the oldest of a family of seven children. She was a sister of Mr. R.Y. Beckham of this place, Taylor Beckham, G.D. Beckham, and J.T. Beckham of Concord, her brother J.T, having been buried the day before her death. Mrs. Strickland was noted for her goodness and kindness and was loved by everybody who knew her. She is said to be one of the best that ever lived. She leaves two daughters, Misses Mary and Alma who have the sympathy of the entire community in the loss of their mother. Her funeral was preached by Rev. T.S. Edwards of this place and the interment took place in old Hebron cemetery. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, June 16, 1899 (Transcribed 08/26/03 Lynn Cunningham) Mr. H.H. Strickland Dead Just as we go to press we learn of the death of Mr. H.H. Strickland, which occurred at his home in Concord yesterday morning. Mr. Strickland had been suffering from paralysis for many months, and while his death was not entirely unexpected, it was nevertheless a shock to his loved ones. He was about sixty years old. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his death. The funeral services will occur at Concord today. I'll have to work on the rest...
