I knew that Henry was living in the Adams household, I'd found that on the census, but had never located HER. The lady named "Frances Mathews" aged 24 was Lina's older sister. I don't have any idea who "S.F. Blunt" w/f age 15 could be. Lina had younger sisters but none born in 1845 (which is the birth year for that age) NOR any with either of those initials (other than her older sister who was married to Charles Mathews. There was a sister born in 1844 named "Laura Emma Blount" and a sister born in 1846 named Catherine Blunt/Blount but Catherine died in May 1860 in Ga. Yes, I had noticed that her father's middle name was "Walker". We THINK he may have been given that name to honor the officer, Freeman Walker, that his father, John Blunt, fought under. We've traced the Blount/Blunt line back to the 1600's and found no Walker connection. His mother's line MAY have a connection - we've not been able to trace it. Yes, James Germany and several of his siblings moved to Tallapoosa Co. Their grandfather was the James Germany who was at Horseshoe Bend and traded with the indians.

Germany (born 1830) enumerated in 1860, 1870, and 1880 Rusk Co. Neither of these men were shown with any family on these censuses although it appears that the John G. Germany born 1830 Ga married Margaret E. [MEDFORD] 18 Sep 1865 in Rusk Co. However, John G. was not shown with a wife in 1870 but is shown as a widow in 1880. There could be a kinship between either John Germany and the widowed Mary Germany that left Pike Co Ga after 1850 and was enumerated 1860 in Rusk Co with her son Joseph. Mary was born in Ga abt 1800 and is reported to have been the wife of Wm J. Germany who died in Pike Co Ga in 1842. Two of Mary's daughters & their husbands appear to have come with her to Tx: Beady C. [Germany] married to Williamson W. Whelis and Elizabeth [Germany] married to Wm C. Hughes as they too are on the 1860 Rusk Co census. Does anyone have any records of this family after they arrived in Rusk Co?
