Is there anyone that could tell me where District 68 would have been in the 1850 census for Pike Co. Ga.? It appears all the Carden's, were living in this district in the 1850 census. Thank you, Becky Carden

This is Sarah's Ballard family. Note: Daniel's second wife was Cornelia Allen. After Daniel died, Cornelia married Judge Hartford Greene. She and Hartford had one daughter who died at the age of nine. After Hartford's death Cornelia eventually ended up in Coweta County. Twenty years after Hartford's and Cornelia's daughter died, Cornelia had her dug up and carried to Coweta County. The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, November 13, 1896 (Transcribed 05/31/03 Lynn Cunningham) Mrs C.A. Green of Senoia visited here last week. While here she had her child removed from the Baptist graveyard, who had been buried for twenty years, and carried to Senoia and re-interred. Descendants of Daniel G.S. Ballard 1 [2] Daniel G.S. Dawn and Larry, I found this Howell family in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census years and never found a "Nellie." Since the will was written in 1897, is a possibility that a child could have been born in the period between 1880 and 1897 and died before the 1900 census. I feel that if there was a "Nellie" she would have a marker at Zebulon Methodist since every other family member has one. I think the name probably should have been Willie. Bill, could you take another look at the Howell will? Sallie is indeed a nickname for Sarah. In the bible was part of an old letter that appears to have been written by the brother of Sarah (Felps) Sturdivant. The first page -or- pages of the letter are missing. This is a transcript of what remains. I hope it fills in the blanks for someone -- please let me know if it does. I have lots more on the Pennington family that Emily married into. W.H. Pritchard was married to Georgia Crowder on 19 Nov 1865 In Spalding County. According to census records, W.H. was born about 1836 and Georgia was born about 1843. I don't have all the answers yet, but Stephen Decatur Williamson (1845-1903) was married to Isabelle C. Crowder. George C. Williamson was their son. Isabella and Georgia must have been sisters.
