Good Morning to All: I wanted to let everyone know I have placed the Head of Household Alphabetical Listing of the 1840 Census on the Paulding County Web page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~gapauldi/ In addition I now have 20 church pictures on the Church page. Slow loading page, but very beautiful churches. I thought this might interest people researching that visited as a child, perhaps for a funeral or church service, it might click a thought for someone which is what happened to a lady in New Mexico when she saw the Yorkville Church. She remembered from childhood, but did not know where it was located only a vague recollection of what it looked like. Several more new items are coming -- So take a moment to check to see if you have anyone listed in the alpha census for 1840 in Paulding. More information will be added to that, but at least you can tell if you have anyone with your surname during that period. P.S. -- I am searching for some good RESOURCES for doing research in Paulding County .. (i.e., books, documents, etc.) to place on a resource page on the Paulding Site and hopefully to purchase some for lookups, would you let me know what sources you have used that worked for you, or didn't work, but were a good resource anyway? For those of you that have looked up your ancestors in the census(s), would you be willing to donate that information to the Paulding Page with your name as the submitter of the information? If I get enough people to do this, I will create a page for each census with that information. I am in the process of enlisting volunteers to transcribe the census for entering on the web, I do understand that there are books with this information already in place, but I am also aware that not everyone is able to buy every new book that comes on the market, so transcription by a few for non-profit, will help all in the end. Thanks for your time this a.m. -I hope that all of you will take a moment to check out the page and please email me or the list with any ideas for things YOU would like to see on the site.
