I've recently been trying to track down James M. KNIGHT (1793-1856) All I have is from the 1850 census and an abstract of his will.  From these two sources I've found he was born in North Carolina and died in Newton County, Georgia.  Also, his children were: Richard D. KNIGHT (1829 - ?) William T. KNIGHT (1831 - 1900) m. Elizabeth Jane Weaver Martha Jane AVERY (1833 - ?) Georgia Ann SAWYER (1835 - ?) James A.J. KNIGHT (1837 - ?) George W.R. KNIGHT (1840 - ?) Also from his will, and this wills of his in laws, his wife's name was Mary ROSEBERRY. William T KNIGHT moved to Randolph County, Alabama  William T's children were: James Travis (or Thomas) KNIGHT, my great grandfather, (1855 - 1920) William Jesse KNIGHT (1856 - 1908) Monroe ? KNIGHT (1858 - 1935) Mary Frances Clemintine COLLIER (1860-?) Hampton Roseberry KNIGHT (1862-1951) Martha Ann Elizabeth TAYLOR (1864-1892) Nancy Elizabeth Ella WILLINGHAM (1869-1948) Sarah Ista Lena Cumi HENDON (1873-1947) I've seen Monroe KNIGHT listed as both J. Monroe and Monroe Morris, but I don't know which is closer to his real name. If anyone out there has any information on  James,  his ancestors or his descendants, please let me know.
