Hi! I am researching the above mentioned surnames in and around Newton Co., GA. Specifically, Thomas TAYLOR md. Sarah DUKES in 1824 in Newton Co. They then moved on to Monroe Co. I have no information on where they came from of who their parents/siblings might be. Also, I am descended from Henry STARR of MD, and his son, Silas STARR, the family for whom the town of Starrsville was named. I have quite a bit of STARR information on my web site listed below, but if anyone can add to my knowledge of Henry and where in MD he came from (or if he even came from MD! <g>), I'd appreciate it! Silas STARR's daughter, Harriet Asenath STARR md. Alfred M. RAMSEY in 1834 in Newton Co. Alfred was born in 1813 in GA, according to the census. If anyone has information on this line, I'd appreciate sharing with you! His mother's name was Elisebeth from what I can make out of the family Bible. Hope to hear from someone soon!
