Are there any cemetery records in Newton Co., GA prior to 1860 available? Tax Records on microfilm for viewing to find any info on a John Middlebrooks b. 1755 VA/NC who res. in Caswell Co., NC from 1770's to about 1800? John Middlebrooks supposed son of a John Middlebrooks b. 1726 VA (?) may have moved to SC prior to his residing in Newton Co., GA. He married 1) Mary Lyon dau. of Robert Lyon of Caswell Co., NC who died in 1784 (his Will) and evidently Mary died after birth of about three sons then John married 2) Milly Sutton (need place of marriage and her lineage)......The main source of info used for this line is from the Middlebrooks Register of 1909 by L.F.
