Surnames: Wilkerson, wilkinson, nolin, nolan, sanford Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Xd.2ADE/1383 Message Board Post: My Grandfather is Homer Wilkerson (Ga. and Al.) Br. 1900 had two sisters named Ila Belle and Bessie. I have found some information but I have my reservations about them being accurate on my part. He married Thelma F. Sanford and they had two children Clarence Rudolph ( my father) and Lamar, Lamar was killed ,when he was hit by a truck, at the age of 3 in Columbus Ga abt. 1933. My Grandparents divorced in the 30's and my Father lived in Columbus Ga. with Ila Belle, she was married to Arthur Nolan who owned a furniture store, Nolan and Son, in Columbus. In the 1930 US Census they are listed as follows: Homer Wilkinson- 29 - not Wilkerson as it should be. Thelma Wilkinson- 22 Rudolph Wilkinson- 6 years Lamar Wilkinson- 1 month Edward Sanford- Brother in Law is also listed in the houshold The Nolans are listed as follows: Arthur Nolan Ila Nolan Nila Nolan Preston Nolan I know that Uncle Preston married Mary Alice Cooper and had 4 children twin daughters Patricia and Jeanette, daughter Jean and son Randy. All the families lived on the same block along with the Nolan and Son Furniture store My Father died in 83' and Granddaddy died in the 73' and is buried at Pine Hill Cemetary in Columbus, my Grandmother remarried, lived in California and died in 62' so as you see I have no living source of information. I would like anyone who may have any information on these relatives to contact me at crkwilts@aol.com. You never know who or what might jog someone's memory. Thank you, Carol Wilkerson Russo crkwilts@aol.com
