    3. Martha, I think this family were members of the Mt. Paran Primitive Baptist Church in Muscogee (later Chattahoochee) Co. during that time period. If we could find the early church records, they might indicate when Mahala died. A later book of records (beginning in the 1880's or so and running to about 1920, I think) has been photocopied and placed in the Bradley Memorial Library in Columbus. I'm not sure if the whereabouts of the earlier records is known now. They existed in the early 1930's, when a summary was prepared for inclusion in the original edition of Nancy Kate ROGERS' "History of Chattahoochee County, Georgia," published in 1933. Maybe if all of us who are interested in those early Mt. Paran families were to beat the bushes, we could come up with those records? The place to start would be to check with Barbara (BLACKSTOCK) SIZEMORE (Mrs. Bobby D.) out at Box Springs in Talbot County. She's the one who photocopied the later book and placed the copy in the library. John in TX Motthu@aol.com wrote: >Does anyone know if there are any death records for the 1850 to 1855 time >frame?
