    1. [GAMUSCOGEE] Russell County Book
    2. Pam Kyle, I received my ancestor's County Book from another County  and there were several errors in my families alone. and I am white. I have never seen a County History Book 100% correct., My Missississippi County Book, again had several errors written about my ancestors, alone. I am sure the  color of your skin  had nothing to do with the errors. If you would talk to others you  might see there were errors in the white ancestors , as well I know you are disappointed, but that is no reason to start pointing  a finger. The writers of these County Books spend plenty of time and do the best they can. I wouldn't want to take on the time and effor these writers have have given of themselves. In one County  Book my grandmother will go down as Verrie Lee instead of Minnie Lee and my gr. uncle was born 3 year after his papa was killed in an ambush. My gr grandpapa was killed in1970 and the book had his son was born in 1873.. When, my gr grandpapa was killed in Aug. 1870 and my uncle was born the following spring of 1871. My gr grandmother was only several weeks PG when my gr grandpapa was killed. Many times I have seen one person name under another person's picture. Genealogy is trial and error and us working together. This also includes the writers of the Russell County and other Counties trying to write all the information correct and please everyone. Some times people send in pictures in and thinking they should be printed, however not all pictures can be reprinted and used, this is nothing personal. Maybe the blacks can next time write their own County Book and leave out the whites and see if yours is perfect, then. All people are human and make mistakes, but not all people are racist. I know you are disappointed, for this I am sorry, but I am sure the writers of the Russell County Book including Patrica Greathouse, did the best they could. Not meaning to offend anyone.
