Hi! I am confused about something. On the GA Division of Public Health/Vital Records website, it says that you can obtain certified copies of death certificates from the state vital records office (all counties) or the county in which the death occured. Does this mean that I could walk into the health department here in Columbus and obtain a death cert for someone who died in Troup County? I know in AL you can walk into any county health department and obtain some vital records with the appropriate ID, etc. (Such as a person could get a death cert for someone who died in Randolph Co, AL over at the Russell Co, AL health department.)
