DOSTER (b Feb., 1841 Coweta Co, Ga.; d. 22 March, 1922 Elmore Co. Al.) and PRUDENCE M. WALLACE DOSTER (b. 22 May, 1839 in Ga., d 9 August, 1914, Elmore Co. Al. ) were in Columbus, Ga. in 1865 thru part of 1870's. My great aunt, MOLLIE E. DOSTER, was born in Columbus in January 1865. My grandmother, CARRIE JANE DOSTER, was born in Columbus in March, 1867. Prudence's parents, ABRAHAM WALLACE and NANCY WALLACE lived with them(probably because William Doster was badly injured in the war and had problems finding work). They attended St. Luke Methodist Church during this time. St Lukes records for this period of time were almost all lost and there is no church record of them. They are not on the 1870 Muscogee census. I have heard there are city directories and a newspaper for this period of time. Are these available where I can search them? Where? How? Does anyone know anything about this family? I would appreciate any help you can give me. God Bless Linda Heath Mesquite, Texas
