If your email inbox is crowded with messages such as "Re: Thank You!" or "Your Details" or :Your Application" or even the tempting "Wicked screensaver," you're not alone. You've gotten stuck with a mass-mailing virus, called Sobig-F with the "F" tagging it as the current version of a virus that has run through versions A through E since January. Simply delete the email without opening the attachment, the Internet service providers say. The virus will fade from distribution after Sept. 10. Once opened, Sobig automatically launches an email server. It reads all the addresses in the user's email files and starts sending out infected mail. Please borrow, purchase, or whatever a good virus program. With that being said. . . This is a reminder that discussion of virus, worms, and other attacks of this nature are not to be discussed on this mailing list. There are lists for that purpose, and much more information can be gained from them.
