I I am from Columbus, Georgia and I remember a Coulter's Flowers Shop in Phenix City. I also remember my mother talking about a Coulter who was one of the Fourth Nation Bank downtown Columbus, maybe in the 1950s. I remember my grandmother talking about her family being related to the Coulters. She was born in 1886 in Girard, Alabama right next to Phenix City,Alabama in Russell County. Girard is just across the lower Dillingham Bridge. My grandmother's ancestors are Liverman, Aldridge, White, McBride, McKenzies and she married Nathan Cullen Richardson from Griffin, Georgia, Spauling County. My Grandmother was Katherine Elnora McKenzie Richardson. She worked at Lack-o-wicks ( sorry I don't know how to spell it;s a Jewish name.) Cleaners where she built men's suits . You couldn't tell her suits from those off the racks, shoulder pads and all.
