They are said to have married 05 FEB 1846 in Muscogee Co, GA. Louisa heads a household as a widow in the Clapp’s Factory community of Muscogee Co. in 1880. Their children are said to include: Ellen DIFFLY (b. ca. 1850-1920), m1. RILEY (d. bef. 1880), m2. SCHOOLCRAFT? John May DIFFLY (1854-1901), m. Ada Josephine SMITH (b. 1859) of Harris Co, GA James Marion DIFFLY (ca. 1856-1885), m. Jane Elizabeth BORDERS (b. ca. 1842) Peter Franklin DIFFLY (1856-1919), m. 1880 Emma Jane ASBELL (1860-1925) William Martin DIFFLY (1858-1935), m. Emma J. UNKNOWN (ca. 1862-1888) William Henry DIFFLY (1858-1933) Sarah Jane DIFFLY (ca. 1861), m. Charles W. PIKE Martha DIFFLY (ca. 1872-1940), m. Charles W. HAYNIE In 1880, James and Jane are in Goodman’s Dist, Harris Co, GA, next door to the Thomas BORDERS household. Also, Henry and Emma DIFLEY and her sister Susan HASTY appear in Brownville, Lee Co, AL, near families with ties to Clapp’s Factory. Is Charles W. PIKE kin to Charles P. PIKE (b. 1832) who m. 1861 in Harris Co, GA, to Elizabeth LAND (1839-1870)? Kin to the Clapp’s Factory family of John & Telitha (PIKE) NEWSOME? Ellen, Peter, Wm. Martin, Wm. Henry, and Martha are said to be buried in Montgomery, AL, but John, James Marion, and Emma (wife of Wm. Martin) are all said to have died in or near Columbus, GA. I am particularly interested to find out where these folk are buried. Any information appreciated, and I will be glad to share what I have.
