A. SHIPP, whose death occurred Monday afternoon at the city hospital, took place yesterday morning at ten o’clock, from the residence, No. 1224 Eighteenth street, East Highlands, conducted by Rev. J. G. HARRISON, assisted by Rev. L. J. BALLARD and Rev. W. M. TIDD. The interment was at Linwood Cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as the pallbearers: Messrs. W. H. HARVEY, S. H. WILLLIAMS, W. H. MARTIN, W. M. TIDD, G. G. BLAU and T. R. YOUNG.” [From the "Columbus, Georgia, Enquirer-Sun" newspaper, Wednesday, 22 JUL 1903, p. 3.
