I see that, according to Barfield's History of Harris Co. (p. 705), the community of Mountain Creek became Whitesville and the Mountain Creek Church was moved from its original location closer into Whitesville in 1855 (pp. 709-11). I will be on the lookout for a kinship of the STRINGER family to J. E. W. HENDERSON and will post anything that I find. Thanks again - John in TX.
