    3. There is a furniture store in downtown Columbus by the name of Raymond Rowe. When most other stores abandoned downtown the store stayed. It is one of the more exclusive furniture stores, but bargains can be found there. There was a John Rowe who performed 4 marriages in Chattahoochee County between 1854-1889. Windham is a name associated with a drug store from days past. It was a neighborhood drug store, that closed (if memory serves me) within the last 20 years after the death of Mr. Windham. From what friends who grew up in his neighborhood, he delivered and ran a tab for a lot of hardworking people - something we can't get in our "neighborhood chain stores" of today. kemis Subject: [GAMUSCOGEE] Rowe/Roe in Muscogee and Taylor Counties I am related to Elder John R Rowe and Mary Jane Phillips who were married 20 Aug 1846 in Meriwether County and later lived in Butler, GA. Their son John R Rowe (Roe) was married to Roetta (Etta) Bartlett and lived in Columbus, GA. Their daughter Sally was married to George Russell Windham 6 May 1888. Other children of John and Mary that I know of are Mary, Nancy, William and Steven. Any info is greatly appreciated.
