The line extended from downtown Columbus to the North Highlands casino (on the site presently occupied by Comer Auditorium). - from “Streetcar Service in Columbus, Georgia,” by John R. LASSITER, in "Muscogiana," Vol. 2, Nos. 1 & 2 (Summer 1991), p. 11. Also, the following advertisement appeared in the "Columbus Enquirer-Sun" newspaper on Wednesday morning, 07 JUN 1899: "The CASINO, North Highlands. Monday Night June 5th: KILROY & BRITTON VAUDVILLE CO. Six Specialty Artists. Car fare only. Reserved seats, 10 cents. Cars every ten minutes." Cars, of course, refers to the electric trolley line. I I am interested in other information on the casino - thanks.
