White and family moved to Columbus Wednesday where they will reside for the present. Capt. White is supervisor on this road, and moved here several years ago in order to be centrally located on his work. Some time ago his work was enlarged and Columbus is more central, hence his removal. Capt. White is a good, clever, Christian gentleman and the people of Buena Vista regret to lose the citizenship of him and his excellent family. Hi List, I've come across an interesting article about the July 4th holiday back in 1889. The events for the celebration were held in Wildwood Park and Exposition Park. Does anyone know the location of Wildwood Park? There is a Wildwood Avenue in Columbus - was there a park located on that street? Or was Wildwood Park an earlier name for the Lakebottom area? I'm assuming Exposition Park was most likely located downtown. Please respond to the list if you are familiar with either of the Parks mentioned. I'm curious and would like to learn more about this.
