Hi, Wanda, For a minute there, I thought you were looking for a friend of mine, so I just had to write. She was born after 1918, but not a whole lot. I am 70 years old, and she is older than I am. Her name is Nellie Marie (Thorne) Clifton. Her younger sister Mildred Thorne was my closest friend as a child in Forrest City, Arkansas. I don't know where the family lived before coming to Arkansas. Nellie still lives, and is in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I wonder if she might have been named after an older relative (Aunt?) named Nellie.
