Hi, Mr. Strickland: Thanks for the information about the military census. I was afraid of that. Unfortunately, my g-g-grandfather, Edward, never said much about his military service, and we have no idea which unit he served with. And with the little information I have on him--pretty much what you read in my post, plus his death certificate--I'm not really sure how to proceed further. Nevertheless, thanks for the information.
