Hi Jack, If you have time to do stuff, you don't have to hire anyone to help you find family lines. My brother has visited libraries and cities for about a year and traced both sides of family back to Germany and when both sides came over in 1600 and were even in the same state. What a co-incidence. I understand Dalton library gives you a lot of help. Jean Belew who does geniology in Bartow County can help you quite a bit. She writes for the Daily Tribune news and it is on line but I cannot remember. I am sure you can find it. Linda Cochran used to write for the paper but has quit. She is disabled and is not able to do much but she still helps lots of people. Both these people can get you started, just send a note to newspaper in Cartersville. Taylorsville is in Bartow as is Cartersville.
