Hello, What was the context of the Ellis shooting, and what newspapers have you researched? If you can't find it in the newspapers, how do you know that the date is correct? I ask because my research examines, in part, violent crime in Murray County as part of a broader study. However, I arbitrarily chose 1914 as a starting point for that research. If the Ellis case is relevant I may push back that date to 1913. If you give me the details you have on the Ellis shooting, I will do the research.
