Doris, I've checked through my copy of "Murray County Heritage" and find several Tate's, but nothing on Robert or Cynthia. There is mention of a Confederate Captain Tate and Troy, Clark, James, Howard and Jacob(1807-1888)Tate, but nothing further that I can find.
