To whom it may concern: I am looking for any information about my gggrandfather, Edward Wilson. He was born in North Carolina on 07/20/1827. He moved to Murray County Ga. prior to 1850. He appears on the County census of 1850 with his wife Elizabeth. He was on the 1860 census as well. His occupation was farmer. I would like to find out if the Edward B. Wilson, shown as a private on the 39th Ga. roster, Co. A, is my ancestor. I do know my ancestor was a Civil War Veteran and that he may have been captured during a battle. There are no documents that I have come across that have my ancestor's middle initial so the "B" in the above mentioned is confusing to me. There is a Samuel Wilson listed in the same company and I wondered if the two Wilsons could be related. Any other information about the family would also be appreciated. The family moved from Georgia to Texas in the 1870's according to my records.
