Dear Mr. Wilson, Below are the short notes that I have for Wilson soldiers in Company A, 39th Georgia Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Company A was from Murray County, Georgia. You may want to trace the two gentlemen back further in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 Censuses in order to try and make a connection to the relationship. You may want to see what households they lived in and were they lived at in geographic relationship to one another. Wilson, Edward B. -- Private - March 10, 1862. Deserted August 25, 1863. Took oath of allegiance to U. S. Government at Chattanooga, Tennessee and released there March 16, 1864. Wilson, Samuel M. -- Private - March 10, 1862. Appears only on roll dated March 28, 1862, which shows he received $50 bounty. Please let me know if you have any questions. Respectfully, Gerald D.
