Elisa, your gggrandfather, John Carden, is listed among the members of the 22nd Regt. Ga. Volunteers D. Murray County, formed Audust 3, 1861-Wright's Brigade Army of Northern Virginia. The members are listed on page 801 of the book. Also, if you can find a copy of "The Georgia Volunteer Infantry, 1861-1865", by Ray Roddy, it has 4 pages of information on the 22nd Regt. Since you live in Murray County, you can get it at the Whitfield Murray county Historical Society, 715 Chattanooga Ave. , in Dalton. See Marcella White , the Director. She also has copies of the minutes of the meetings of the Camp along with lists of the officers, delegates to conventions, etc. It would be well worth your time to visit her and read this material.
