I have worked on the Pankeys, but never found much on Leander Williams except for his name as Sarah's spouse. But I was just now looking at his name, which is unusual, and wondered if you had ever looked in census or cemetery lists for alternate spellings or possible nicknames, such as "Leonard" Williams (possible sound-alike or misspelling), or "Lea" or "Lee" Williams? Also, like the others, I think that Gilmer County would be a very likely place to look, since many of the Pankeys lived there. Some of the research I've done makes me think that some of the Pankeys lived near enough to the Gilmer-Murray line that one family might have some documentation in both counties. dkp --- lwilliams60@comcast.net wrote: > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <lwilliams60@comcast.net> > To: <GAMURRAY-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, May 22, 2002 10:29 AM > Subject: [MURRAY] Leander Williams > > > > I am interested in a Leander Williams, born.
